To turn back the time has been on of the most cherished dreams of men and women. If, even after a good night’s sleep, you look tired, angry, unhappy or older than you really are, the cause may be fat bags, dark circles, excess skin and/or fine wrinkles under your eyes, and drooping or puffiness in the upper eyelids. The solution for all these problems is Blepharoplasty, better known as eyelid surgery. More than any other facial surgery, cosmetic eyelid surgery will give you a more youthful, rested and alert image. The necessary incisions will be placed in the natural contour of the eye so they are camouflaged and tend to fade after the healing process. The procedure is generally done under local anesthesia but you will be comfortable the whole time. Bruising and swelling will appear and you may feel some degree of discomfort or blurred vision right after the surgery but resting with your head elevated and cold compresses will give you some relief. Within the first week, the bruising around the eye will be intense, but you may resume any non-strenuous activity. After about 2 months most of the swelling will subside and the final result will appear.
